Because I am a husband to Carole and father of two sons, we always have approached ministry as co-partners. With Carole’s support and prayers, I have had the privilege of fulfilling God’s purpose in my life.
As I reflect on the direction my life has taken over the years, it is unquestionable that God was developing, and equipping me to fulfill His purpose and plan for my life. Having a management banking career: been the founder and leader of a Christian band; the previous Worship Pastor for COV, (1999-2006) and the Worship Pastor/Director for a local 5,000 member congregation, it my passion, and intentionality to achieve diversity in ministry. This history is also evidence of God’s purpose for my life. I believe that to achieve diversity in the church, you must be intentional, and have a love and respect for all God’s people.
My experience as a worship pastor has revealed to me the importance of incorporating different musical genres into the worship services. I also believe that it is just as important to have diversity reflected in all areas of the church. When people see themselves represented, there is a sense of belonging.
Presently serving as the Associate Pastor of C0V/ Worship Director, God has placed on my heart to equip, encourage, and mentor the future leaders of COV. The Lord has prepared, trained, and blessed me with a wealth of ministry knowledge, and a successful ministry career.
I eagerly look forward to being instrumental in contributing to the vision, and development of the future leaders of COV. The fact that I am again serving at COV after having left years ago is evidence that our God is a God of “completion”.
